Linda KurczLinda Kurcz is a fiber artist who creates both traditional quilts and art quilts. Her large art quilt titled "A Walk in the Woods" was commissioned to hang in the new Warrenville Park District Recreation Center. A talented colorist, she chooses fabrics and other fibers then combines and stitches them into quilts using traditional and contemporary quilt patterns or stitches them onto collages that represent landscapes and images. |

"A Walk in the Woods": This amazing 4' x 4' panel commissioned for the Warrenville Park District Recreation Center lobby features trees of pieces cotton with cut and stitched leaves and trunks. The leaves escape the frame line enhancing the 3-dimensional quality to the work. Forest floor details of yarns and cut and stitched fabrics provide a textural richness to the foreground. Customization available: Functional items such as table runners, table cloths, tote bags, and even conventional bed quilts are available as well as wall art in square, rectangular, or banner shapes.
