Statement: Weber uses dyed fibers along with natural fibers, then gives the finished basket a final bath of palest walnut stain to mute the contrasts for added subtlety. She often weaves around found objects, letting them be the handle or the edge of the basket and often weaves other fibers such as yarns and pods or twigs into the basket. Media: Basket Weaving.

Jimi Lee Weber weaves baskets and teaches others to weave
baskets. Soft colors and minimal decoration allow the weave to
be the object of attention. Weber frequently uses found
objects and resale shop finds as handles or ornamentation, giving
new life to cast offs.
