Jenny Lund

From wool to finished garment, Jenny Lund is involved in every step of the process of making wool garments.  Lund spins wool into yarn, often demonstrating her craft at public events.  Lund then weaves that yarn into shawls and scarves on a triangular loom or knits that yarn into a variety of garments.  Lund also creates richly beautiful garments from a variety of other fibers.

Statement: There is something special about every unique one-of-a-kind garment Jenny Lund creates, whether that she spun the yarn from wool prior to knitting or weaving the garment or whether she purchased the uniquely textured or colored yarn with which she knits or weaves.  Rich browns, tans, and russets combine into beautiful wearable art.  A range of blues create a tweed effect.  Boucle yarns create rich soft texture.  Yarns with silk or rayon give a draping quality.  Lund's triangle looms make scarves and shawls, while her knitting needles of various sizes make shawls, sweaters, scarves, hats, mittens, and her trademark fingerless mittens that keep your hands warm yet keep your fingers free to grip your car keys, your wallet, or your dog's lease.  Lund finds or forms beautiful fiber and transforms it into even more beautiful and useful garments, creating art that you can wear for fun or for comfort.
