Cory McCrory

McCrory served as the resident potter at historic Blackberry Pioneer Village in Illinois, where she furthered her study of traditional glazes and forms and proportions, which can be seen in her birdhouse bottles and jugs and in the colors of her glazes.  McCrory's catfish are her own creation.

Statement: Subtle color variations and classic clean lines with graceful proportions are typical of McCrory's pottery that carries the feel and warmth of history yet also carries an edge of the contemporary.  McCrory's pottery is useful in the home, in the kitchen and elsewhere, but each piece is also a thing of beauty, bringing joy to everyday life.
